Arizona BMW Z-Series Club

Oracle Drive

This album includes a number of photos from the November 2016 drive to the Oracle Inn Steak House & Saloon in Oracle, north of Tucson. Since Chuck Taylor loved this drive so much, we have named it the "Chuck Taylor Memorial Tour." We had over 20 Z's on the drive! We departed from Apache Junction and traveled to Globe and then followed AZ 77 south to Oracle. We had a great lunch at the Steakhouse and celebrated the birthdays of several club members. On the return, we retraced our route and picked up AZ 177 at Winkelman. We drove through Hayden and passed the large open pit mine in Kearny. We had planned on stopping there for a break, but the road turned out to be gravel, so we continued on to Superior, and then returned to Phoenix via US 60. We had a great time, the scenery was incredible, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous.
